Clarence L. Turnipseed, 79 of Waukegan, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois.
Clarence was born to the union of Lillie Mae (Phelps) and David Turnipseed on September 8, 1938 in Port Gibson, Mississippi. Clarence was the eldest of six children. He was educated in Port Gibson schools. He left Port Gibson in the late 1950’s and moved to North Chicago, Illinois. He met and married Loretta Aikens in 1961. He pursued education at College of Lake County in the welding field. Clarence leaves to cherish his memory, his seven children; Maxine (John) Newton, Raynard (Joseph Hall) Turnipseed, David Turnipseed, Darren (Darlene) Turnipseed, Maurice Turnipseed, Michelle (Stanley) Griffin, Tiffany (Rhoderick) Boyd, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters Ruth (Leon) Jenkins, Rhoda Coleman, brother Wayne (Gloria) Turnipseed, a very special sister-in-law Virginia Turnipseed, brother-in-law Robert “Bob” Bullitt and a very special loving companion Annie Finely. Along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of His Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Bradshaw and Range Funeral Home,2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. , Pastor, Maxine Newton Officiating.
